Building in Auburn

Auburn is the Placer County seat, set in the foothills along I-80, with a historic Old Town, county government buildings, medical offices, retail and a mix of older and hillside homes. Foothill properties bring their own conditions: sloped and wooded lots, tighter access for materials and equipment, occasional winter snow at higher elevations, and wildfire-area building requirements for exteriors, vents, roofing and decks where they apply. Permits for work in Auburn go through the City of Auburn building department (or Placer County for properties outside city limits), and we handle the applications and inspections as part of the job.
